I joined Mr. Brown’s staff in May of 1990.  I have lived my entire life in Idaho in the area surrounding Lewiston.  I attended Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston and obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in legal secretary in 1980.  I began working in the firm of Aherin & Rice upon my graduation from LCSC and spent 10 years working for them, 7 of those years included Mr. Brown’s partnership with the firm.  My past employers and present employer are avid supporters of continuing legal education and of my participation, since 1981, in LLSA ... the association for legal professionals, the local chapter of a tri-level association known as NALS ... the association for legal professionals (the national organization) and IDALS ... the association for legal professionals (the state organization).

I have held various positions on the local and state levels throughout the years, and, in particular,  LLSA President in 1983-1984, 1991-1992, and 1989-2000, and the IDALS President in 2006-2007.  I received the LLSA Member of the Year award in 1992-1993 and 1998-1999, the IDALS Beverly Hancock Member of the Year award in 1992-1993, and obtained my Certified PLS designation in 2003.  I also received the Secretary of Distinction award from the Lewis Clark Chapter of the Professional Secretaries International (PSI) in1987.
